This policy brief explores the attitudes of rural communities in Havran and surrounding districts of Balıkesir, Türkiye, toward agricultural innovation. While many farmers remain closely tied to traditional practices, there is a growing openness to modern technologies, particularly when their economic and employment benefits are made tangible. However, limited access to accurate information continues to slow adoption. Addressing this knowledge gap is critical to unlocking the region’s potential for sustainable and resilient agricultural development. This brief outlines recommendations for targeted education, demonstration projects, and supportive policies to raise awareness, empower pioneering farmers, and drive inclusive rural transformation.
