Dear colleagues,

We have the pleasure of inviting you to participate online in the event “Decentralized management of municipal organic waste in the Mediterranean” that will take place on the 24^th and 25^th of October 2023. The event is organized by two major regional EU-funded projects, Med4Waste and WES, that joined forces to support a smooth transition of the municipal waste sector of the Mediterranean region to a sustainable circular model.

The event will bring together policy makers (ministry officials), local authorities, the private sector, NGOs, researchers and other stakeholders, to strengthen capacities and skills for informed decision-making related to decentralized waste management in the region.

The online sessions that will be streamed are (more information in the attached agenda):

• Tuesday, 24th of October, 09:00 AM – 12:30 PM (CEST)
• Wednesday, 25th of October, 09:00 AM – 13:00 PM (CEST) 

The working languages of the event are English and French.

The event will also present some key results of the Med4Waste project that we think you will find useful:

– The Med4Waste Online Course to support waste management practitioners like you in learning more about Circular Economy and Zero Waste Strategies.

– A Catalogue of good and successful practices on waste management with experiences from other ENI CBC Med projects.
